Deputy Director

This full-time position is a highly visible management position that assists the President and CEO with the development and execution of operational policies for the organization. The Deputy Director supervises the program managers and ensures the organization’s programmatic work is carried out in a manner consistent with Vida Senior Centers’ mission, vision, values and strategic plan.

Clinical Social Worker

This part-time position is responsible for providing Behavioral Health counseling services and Clinical Case Management to individuals, groups, and families, participating in the programs at Vida Senior Centers. The Clinical Social Worker provides community-based prevention, early intervention, and specialty Behavioral Health services on crisis intervention as needed.

Data Entry Specialist

This full-time position is responsible for entering data into Vida’s database using data generated from the Center’s activities and assisting the Health and Wellness program staff with implementing workshops, assuring accurate data gathering, and ensuring the security and completeness of client files.

Activities Coordinator

This full-time position prepares and maintains daily logs on activities and supplies statistical information for the preparation of reports as required by funding sources and management. This position also assures safety of the facility for client use, is responsible for assuring that all classroom and meeting areas are prepared for educational and other planned activities assigned.

Program and Grant Manager 

Vida Senior Centers seeks for a Program and Grant Manager to monitor & evaluate Vida Senior Center (VSC) programs serving the senior population needs in the Washington DC Metro area with focus on Hispanic seniors. This would include but not limited to the reporting of activities, support the logistical planning, and program monitoring and evaluation of the grant-funded services and activities as well as on-site assessments in collaboration with the Vida staff and the Executive director.

Communications Assistant Intern

Vida Senior Center is seeking a self-motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented Communications Intern to support the Communications Area on efforts to enhance the organization’s public presence.

Ideal candidate is a recent graduate (graduated within the past year) or an undergraduate/graduate student in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, digital media, or any communication related field.

The candidate will be able to design pieces for print and digital uses (Canva, Adobe Suite), record, and edit videos, taking and editing photos; create, edit and publish writing content on VIDA’s social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter), newsletters, bulletins, press releases, among other tasks and assignments. Bilingual English /Spanish desirable but not required.

COVID-19 Vaccine Health Promotoras[es]

Vida Senior Centers, in conjunction with the National Alliance for Hispanic Health Vacunas para Todos program, will provide culturally and linguistically appropriate education, information to the Hispanic community, who are yet to be vaccinated, in Washington, DC area. The successful applicants, Certified Vaccine Navigator (CVN) /Community Health Worker (Promotoras[es] de Salud) will be expected to provide outreach activities to inform and engage citizens across all wards of the city for COVID-19 vaccination acceptance. The Certified Vaccine Navigator (CVN) /Community Health Worker (Promotoras[es] de Salud) will reduce the hesitancy and misinformation with regard to the safety and benefit of the COVID-19 Vaccine.
